This is the same red bowl from a few days ago. I thought the light shining through it was pretty.

Day 41

A chunk of amethyst. This sucker was so hard to focus on, I guess because it's reflective. It's not as sharp as I wanted, but this was the best of the lot. I love the deep purple color.

This is a carved wooden mask my husband got in Ecuador. Why it is wearing swim goggles, I have no idea.

I'm a little under the weather today so I didn't feel like making much effort with a picture. I just walked out on my deck and snapped a pic of some thyme growing in a planter.

Damn squirrels on my deck. It's my fault for putting out bird seed. They are cute, but they are pigs and eat all the seed.

This is a Downy woodpecker eating some suet in my yard. It's very cloudy here today so these are a little dark, but I just love these birds so I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Finally it's starting to warm up here. We went to the playground and Erin had a great time on the slide. The sun was really bright so she's a little blown out, but I just love her expression.
