Ok, this is the strangest flower I have ever seen. I don't know the name of the plant. It just produced this flower within the last couple of days. It doesn't look real, but I swear it is!

Edit: I found out from my mom tonight that this is a Hoya plant.

The theme of the week is liquids. So I tried to get a shot of a water drip from my kitchen faucet. Didn't work too well, this is the best of the lot. I may try this again later in the week.

My Christmas cactus is blooming, which is unusual for this time of year. Usually it blooms in the winter.

These are not great shots, but I thought they were interesting. We have a lot of hawks around here, and I think there is a nest up in one of those trees. Two hawks were having a fit up there, screeching and carrying on, over what I don't know.

Clearly I need a longer zoom lens, right?

More toys. Erin was visiting with some of her cousins, and pitched a fit when it was time to go over these toys. Thankfully, her aunt said to just take them, her kids wouldn't notice. Ah, the joys of toddlers.

I opened my front door this afternoon, and there were a bunch of these caterpillars crawling around on my front step. I don't know where they came from, but I wish they would GO AWAY!
