It bloomed! It only blooms for one night starting when it gets dark, then the bloom closes up and eventually falls off. I'm a little obsessed with this plant, every time it blooms I take a million pictures, but the bloom is so pretty - I can't help myself. There is one more bud growing, it's a few days behind this one. These shots were taken over about a 2 hour period.

And of course I want a new one, even though the one I have is perfectly good. But that new touch screen iPod looks really cool.
